Importance of Nakshatra Nadikas in Determining Muhurta Kaala subdivided or the Time personified starts from Samvatsara- meaning a year, Ayana-meaning half-year,Ritu –meaning season or 2 solar months, Maasa-meaning half of a Ritu or one Solar month, Paksha-meaning fortnight /15 days, Dina (Vaara) meaning week day, MUHURTA – meaning 2 Ghatikas or 48 minutes of time and Nadika meaning 1 Ghatika or 24 minutes of time.
